What cameras does Lexerus support?+
Lexerus works with any camera that streams over RTSP — including popular brands like Hikvision, Dahua, and Axis. If your camera has an RTSP URL, it will work.
Do I need to replace my existing CCTV infrastructure?+
No. Lexerus is designed to sit on top of your existing setup. You simply point us at your camera stream URLs and we handle the rest.
How accurate is the detection?+
Detection accuracy depends on camera placement, lighting, and scene complexity. In controlled retail environments our behaviour confirmation pipeline achieves >90% precision by requiring multiple frames before raising an alert.
Where is video footage stored?+
By default, short clip recordings are stored securely on encrypted cloud infrastructure. We never retain continuous footage — only 15-second pre-event and 10-second post-event clips linked to a confirmed alert.
Is Lexerus GDPR compliant?+
Yes. Lexerus acts as a data processor on your behalf. We provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for all paid plans and follow UK GDPR guidelines for video surveillance data.
How many cameras can I add?+
Starter plans support up to 2 cameras, Growth plans up to 10. Enterprise plans have no limit. You can upgrade at any time from your dashboard.
What happens if a camera goes offline?+
Lexerus detects stream failures automatically and attempts to reconnect with exponential backoff. You'll receive a notification if a camera is unreachable for more than 5 minutes.
